Ryan A. Forbes graduated from Southern Utah University with a B.S. in Psychology and Business Administration. He completed his current education level in 2008 with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Forbes (in order to not be confused by the ocean of Ryan’s) has worked in Public mental health for the past 19 years. Forbes has developed and ran programs of housing, case management, day treatment and behavior management. He is a certified trainer of Crisis Intervention Training for police offers and Mental Health Providers.
From 2003 to 2008 Forbes was a part of an International Faculty for the International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD) (www.iccd.org) based in New York City that sent him throughout the United State to evaluate and train programs in the clubhouse model. He has served as a Chair, co-chair and treasurer for the Utah State Coalition for Adults with Mental Illness.
Forbes has been an adjunct professor at Dixie State University since 2008 teaching “Sports and Exercise Behaviors” for the Physical Ed department. Forbes began working with ATC by doing groups in 2008 thru 2010. He has also served in a contract role in program and staff development.
Forbes heritage is Maori from the Waikato region of New Zealand. He is married to Donelle Russell, his wife of 17 years and they have 5 wonderful children.
